Questions about Making the Election

1. Does OU want to encourage employees to elect one track or the other?

OU does not have a preference. Each employee should evaluate his or her financial situation and make an informed decision that best meets the individual’s retirement planning strategy and other personal circumstances.

2. Why is it so important that I make an election?

For many employees this is a one-time opportunity to make an election. For these employees, the election must be made within 90 days of your date of hire. Check the Rules for Eligibility for specific details.

3. What happens if I don’t make an election?

Employees that are required to make an election will be automatically enrolled in Track A if they do not submit an election.

4. Can I change my election at some later time?

For many employees, this is a one-time irrevocable election and cannot be changed.
