Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS)

Participation - Limitied only to those already participating through OU.

Contributions - Employee contributes 3.5% of base salary, deducted on a pre-tax basis.

Retirement Benefits – OPERS members who joined prior to July 1, 1992, can retire with full benefits from The Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System

At age 62 with at least 6 years of OPERS service credit OR
When age plus years of OPERS service credit equal 80 or more (Rule of 80).

OPERS members who joined on or after July 1, 1992, can retire with full benefits from The Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System

At age 62 with at least 6 years of OPERS service credit OR
When age plus years of OPERS service credit equal 90 or more (Rule of 90).
