Take a look at the logo here. 10/14/09 Annual Reminder of OU's Alcohol Abuse and Drug Use Policy - As required by university policy, Human Resources has made the "Policy on the Prevention of Alcohol Abuse and Drug Use on Campus and in the Workplace" available for your review. 10/05/09 Funding/Services for Employees with Disabilities - Special funding is available through the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services to provide employees with disabilities job retention services including assistive devices like a prosthesis, hearing aid, or wheel chair. To assist employees in applying, Oklahoma Rehabilitation Service representatives will be on the Norman campus on October 7th, 8:30am-11:30am in the Frontier Room of the Oklahoma Memorial Union. Check out the newly redesigned MyOU New Employee Orientation which is an integral part of any new employee's first experiences at OU. 09/03/09 Students, Got Health Insurance? - As of Thursday, 9/3, over 1600 students have enrolled in the OU Student Health Plan. Were you one of them? Current University of Oklahoma students on all campuses have until Friday, September 11, 2009, to complete their enrollment. If you don't have coverage, we strongly encourage you to consider the university-sponsored option. For more information, or to enroll select the appropriate campus link here. 06/25/09 IRS Reminder: Check Your Tax Withholding - The IRS reminds taxpayers to check their income tax withholding levels. The Making Work Pay Credit recently lowered tax withholding rates. However, taxpayers who fall into certain groups should review their tax withholding rates to ensure enough tax is withheld. Click here for more information. 6/24/09 New BCBS Insurance Cards - BlueCross BlueShield has issued updated insurance ID cards to all OU members. All OU BlueCross members should have received your cards by 8/7/09. The new cards use your Health ID number (990+EMPL ID) as your insurance ID number and replace your existing cards. There is no change in the plan year or in your benefits. When you receive your new card, please destroy the old one. Click here to learn more about your new cards. Learn about the requirements. 03/11/09 Changes to Income Tax Withholdings - Learn how new tax withholding tables may reduce the amount of income tax withheld from your wages. 03/06/09 Online pay statements are available in Employee Self-Service. New Health ID Numbers - To protect your security, remember to use your Health ID number instead of your Social Security number when you go to the doctor or talk to an insurance provider. Health ID's are available for active employees and their dependents. Retirees should use the number on their insurance ID cards or their Social Security number. OU sponsors two voluntary retirement investment accounts (also known as 403(b) and 457(b) plans) that can help you save for retirement even if you're already participanting in other retirement savings plans.
