Services for Employees with Disabilities

Special funding is available through the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services to provide employees with disabilities job retention services including assistive devices like a prosthesis, hearing aid, or wheel chair. Individual qualification for these services is determined by income and medical need. Individuals interested in qualifiying must complete an application and provide a letter of diagnosis and verification of income or receipt of Social Security benefits.To assist employees in the application process, Oklahoma Rehabilitation Service representatives will be on the Norman campus on October 7th, 8:30am-11:30am in the Frontier Room of the Oklahoma Memorial Union. For accommodations on the basis of a disability on October 7th, please contact the Disability Resource Center, (405) 325-3852 voice or (405) 325-4173 TDD. Employees are encouraged to make prior arrangements with their supervisors to coordinate time away from the office to meet with these representatives.
