Direct Deposit or PayCard
Oklahoma law (74 O.S. 292.12) requires that all state employees as a condition of employment use either direct deposit or the Oklahoma PayCard.
What is the PayCard and how does it work?
- It is issued through the State Treasurer's Office via the Bank of Oklahoma.
- The card will be mailed to your home within two or three weeks after the bank processess the request.
- A user guide will accompany your PayCard.
- You must notify Human Resources at 271-2186 when you receive your card.
- Funds are deducted from your account at the time of the purchase, unlike a credit card.
- Funds are available to you on "payday" morning.
- There are fees associated with certain transactions that are disclosed in the user guide.
