We need a babysitter/nanny for our 4 year old son, Leo who has special needs (Autism spectrum). He does not talk yet but does communicate by pointing and taking you to what he wants/needs. He is not yet potty-trained but is making progress.
He is in part-time pre-K at Lincoln Elementary from 7:45 am to 10:30 am every day. He has speech therapy on Tues/Thurs and occupational therapy on Tues. All of this therapies are over by noon.
We need someone to pick him up from school each day (Mon-Thurs) and take him to his therapies. Then, when therapies are finished, stay with him at home for the rest of the day. We should be home by 5:30 pm every evening (sometimes sooner). We don't need coverage on Fridays.
He loves to play outside on our trampoline, go swimming, etc. We would hope to find someone who is willing to do these things with him. He eats pretty much what most kids eat at his age. There would be some basic cooking/using an oven/stove, etc that is required.
He does sometimes get overstimulated but there are ways to help calm him down. He is the sweetest little guy. We just want to find people that are passionate about special needs children and can treat him well while we are away at work.
This job would be at least through the end of the school year in May and may be available further through the summer, into next year. Our current babysitter has been with our kids for four years but will be having a baby and needs to step back for her own family.
Most months, we will need someone just three weeks out of the month but some months would need to be every week. We are open to hiring multiple people to work different days as we know that a college schedule can be hectic. There would be roughly 1:30 on Tuesday and :30 on Thursdays where Leo would be in therapy and there could be study time.
There may also be an occasional need to watch our 7 year old daughter and Leo's twin 4 year old brother if their schools are out for whatever reason. We would not need coverage on any of the major holidays.
This job will be available as soon as the week after Thanksgiving.
